PNEUMATIC TUBE SYSTEMS - Hospital
Emergency sample transport

During surgery every second counts. Especially during cancer surgery excised tissue samples often have to be brought for analysis to an emergency laboratory to determine whether the tumour is malignant or benign. Only then can the operation be continued. Understandably, the entire process may not take more than a few minutes.

No unnecessary delays
Pathology samples, rapid cuts, and tissue biopsies are sent to the laboratory via the shortest and most reliable route using the pneumatic tube system. Protected by special transport bags or inserts, they safely reach their desired destination within the shortest period of time.

Emergencies always have priority

It is important that in large multi-line systems with large numbers of loads such urgent packages are always delivered first, which has now become possible with Sumetzberger’s new diverter unit: emergency loads can overtake carriers dispatched earlier without losing any time.

Reliability and monitoring
All system processes are monitored, displayed on a computer in real-time, and evaluated by means of a functional and efficient system control. Furthermore, statistical analyses and evaluations offer more clarity. The e-messenger tool supplies notification messages and a time scheduler enables optimised organisation and convenient coordination of diversion and blocking functions.
